Mount Baruntse Expedition
Mount Baruntse is one of the most beautiful mountain in Nepal. It follows the trek of the Mera Peak to the Mera la to the Baruntse Base Camp. The base camp is located just at the side of the famous five holy lakes which is also known as “Panch Pokhari” which is at an altitude of 5,400m from the sea level. The journey for expedition starts from the altitude of the base camp to the peak of Mount Baruntse which is at the altitude of 7,129m. The tricky steps which comes at around 7,000m brings in more excitement of the expedition.
This route requires technical and experienced climbing skills as it is a straight forward snow and ice climbing.
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1360m) & Transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu ; climbing preparations and city tour
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2827m)
Day 04: Trek to Poyan (Chutok) (2730m)
Day 05: Trek to Pangum (2900m)
Day 06: Trek to Khurkee (3720m)
Day 07 : Trek to Thuli Kharka/Chetara (4300m)
Day 08: Trek to Tangnang (4400m)
Day 09: Tangnang rest & acclimatization
Day 10: Trek to Khare (5000m)
Day 11: Trek to Mera Base Camp (5200m)
Day 12: Trek to Mera High Camp (5800m)
Day 13: Mera Summit & back to BC (6654m)
Day 14: Trek to Chamlang Base Camp (5120m)
Day 15: Trek to Baruntse Base Camp (5400m)
Day 16-28: Climbing Period .
Day 29: Trek to Panch Pokhari (5448m)
Day 30: Cross Amphu Lapcha & camp at Amphu Lapcha Tso (4985m)
Day 31: Trek Dingboche (4410m)
Day 32: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3446m)
Day 33: Trek to Lukla 92827m)
Day 34: Fly back to Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel
Day 35: Extra day in Kathmandu.
Day 36: International departures From Kathmandu.
